19615-Moshny UA
I have been asked by several people in Ukraine and the Orthodox Christian Church, if I can help their country in their pursuit of a better standard of living and a secure future for their children.
On 30/8-2024 I spoke with a Ukrainian soldier about the possibility of doing an investigation and then writing an article, this soldier was positive about this, but as I told him I need a permit from the Ukrainian central administration to be able to go into Ukraine.
- I need security while working in Ukraine
- I need to talk to the Ukrainian (and Russian) officials to get access to factual information.
- I need a research grant to be able to work independently for a period of up to two years.
- I need peace of mind at work and to know that the population supports me, this is not the case in the town (Moshny) where my partner has a house.
- Some people have taken the opportunity to enter our house using a key they got from a plumber.
- This week litter has been scattered in our garden and the estate agent is very disappointed.
I can understand that in a country at war divergent opinions emerge, and it is natural,
I can’t understand that some local people who used to be our neighbors start behaving like that.
I don’t know what the residents of Moshny are talking about, but if they think it helps Ukraine to harass a family that has proven to have helped Ukraine before Russia attacked Ukraine, then either I must have misunderstood something or the residents of Moshny do.
